Sources and verification

How we verify roller rink information

Every published rink record must be supported by information from the rink's own website and carry a checked date.

RollerRinkFinder is built around published session schedules, admission prices, skate-rental prices, and party packages. We do not fill gaps with estimates or information inferred from third-party listings.

01 — Source selection

Where our information comes from

Our primary and required source is the roller rink's own website. We look for pages that publish information about the venue's sessions, admission, skate rentals, or party arrangements.

Relevant sources include official rink pages describing:

  • Public skating days and session times.
  • Session descriptions and applicable conditions.
  • General admission prices.
  • Skate-rental prices and arrangements.
  • Birthday and group party packages.
  • Published package inclusions and booking details.
  • Venue contact information.

A third-party directory, review, photograph, social media discussion, or search-result snippet is not a substitute for the rink's own published information.

If the required information cannot be supported by an official rink source, we do not create a corresponding verified listing.

02 — Verification process

What we check before publishing

Rink identity and location

We verify the rink's name and location using its own published information. City, state, and other location details are recorded from supporting sources.

Published session schedules

Session days and times are recorded from the rink's published schedule. Session descriptions are preserved according to the rink's terminology.

We do not assume that a general public skating schedule applies to family sessions, adult sessions, holidays, or special events.

Admission and skate-rental prices

Admission and rental prices are recorded separately when the rink publishes them separately. We do not calculate or substitute an unpublished charge.

Every published price identifies its source and checked date directly alongside the price.

Party packages

Party package names, prices, and inclusions are recorded from the rink's own published descriptions. Package details are not expanded beyond what the source supports.

If a rink describes a package but requires customers to request a custom quote, we do not assign an estimated package price.

Contact information

Contact facts are included when supported by the rink's published information. We do not infer missing phone numbers, addresses, or operating details.

03 — Dates and freshness

Why every listing has a checked date

A checked date identifies when the information in a rink record was reviewed against its cited source.

Each published rink record includes its source URL and checked date. Session schedules receive particular attention because they can change more frequently than other venue details.

Quarterly re-checks

Rink records are candidates for quarterly re-checks. The review focuses especially on:

  • Changes to published session days and times.
  • Changes to admission and rental prices.
  • Changes to party package prices or inclusions.
  • Changes to the rink's official website or contact details.

The checked date is not a guarantee that information remains current. Rinks may change schedules, prices, and booking conditions after a record has been reviewed.

Always confirm session times and prices directly with the rink before making a special trip.

04 — Missing information

What we do not invent

An incomplete source does not give us permission to fill in missing details.

If a rink publishes session times but does not publish admission prices, we do not estimate admission. If it publishes admission but not rental prices, we do not invent a rental charge.

Similarly, a rink is not assigned a party price, session schedule, or other detail simply because another source mentions it.

Unpublished information is left unpriced or identified as unpublished, as appropriate. Where a source does not support a fact, that fact is not presented as verified.

05 — Corrections and submissions

Help us correct rink information

If you notice an outdated schedule, price, or other listing detail, send us the correction and its supporting source.

What makes a useful correction?

Include the rink name, the detail that needs changing, and a link to the rink's own published information supporting the correction.

Review before publication

Corrections are submitted as pending. We review the supporting information before changing a public listing.

A submission does not automatically update the directory.

Link to the rink's own page supporting the correction.

Your correction is submitted for review and is not automatically published. See our Privacy Policy for information about form processing.
